Configuring GDE

Before starting we need to ask the system administrator for a login account on the Co> Operating system Host After getting an Account name and password 1.On the GDE menu bar ,choose RUN > SETTINGS.

2.The dialog box appears as shown in the below. Then click edit to open the Host settings dialog.

3.In here we need to select the Host settings dialog ,select a connection method from the method list.  
Connection Method:Click and select from the following list
         Abinitio server / Telnet
         Rexec
         Telnet

4.If you are connecting to a remote UNIX host fill in the host ,login ,and password boxes.

    connection host         :   enter unix server name here
    connection login        : enter your unix user id
    connection password: enter your unix password

5.Fill in the host directory box.on unix,the host directory is optional and defaults to the user id's home directory.

6.Co>operating system configaration.
      enter all the fields correctly

click test login to test the connection

If it fails click details for an error message for the problem.and correct all the Fields.

configure the EME datastore settings

Click project >EME data store settings
     It will display the dialog box and fill all the Fields and then click the connect button.

If your connection fails check all Fields and ask if you the privileges to EME.And contact EME administrator.
